This weeks AMFisH fishing vlog – regrouping when an outing is not going as planned.

Hellooooooooooooo fellow AMFisHers!   This weeks AMFisH fishing vlog is about regrouping when a fishing outing is not going as planned: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsiyN8AJS8k&feature=player_embedded

We all have those days where nothing seems to be going right, the hitch on the boat is acting up, your tackle box falls over and everything spills out, you get to the lake to find a huge tournament taking place, the list goes on and on.

All I can say is it happens and if you stay calm and regroup with a new plan or some action steps you can salvage that much needed fishing outing.

I shot this video when we had to regroup after arriving to a lake we were ready to fish and saw the parking lot filled with bass boats.   Not much we could do but regroup, chat about a new plan and execute it in a timely manner.

We came up wit a plan B and made it happen, sure things were a little tougher and more time was taken to salvage the fishing day BUT the key thing is we made it happen!

We don’t get out to fish as much as we would like so losing a day here and there is not fun  at all, take the steps to enjoy what you love to do.

Hope you found this video helpful…

This weeks AMFisH fishing vlog – matching the hatch.

Hi AMFisHers!  This weeks AMFisH fishing vlog is about matching the hatch – http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=IiEJwLtQ23Y

I have written some posts on this and decided it would be better communicated to all of you via a video.  I shot this one this past winter while ice fishing, you can clearly see what matching the hatch is through the examples I use.

This is a great way to attract and catch more fish, matching your bait to the feed in the lakes.  Example if the baitfish are all white belly with a light brown back, longer leaner looking and move quickly you will want to match this exact species.

By selecting a similar body style of bait, pretty close colour pattern and speed in the water you are right in the game of having your bait confused amongst the others.

I have fished like this a usually start my day out by matching the feed in the lakes, personally I feel fish react to the natural looking stuff almost immediately prior to tossing out something bright and different looking.

If you match the hatch on your outings you will see very quickly how much of a difference it makes!
