Posted a few pics of the musky my friend caught, well here is the greatest picture of all the damage the musky did to his little cotton cordell silver/black mid depth crank bait…….take a look at the back treble hook, yup you are seeing it right it’s bent like a claw !   Musky went into a death roll by the boat almost popped that back treble hook out.

Body of the bait too some damage as well, close to a 10 pound fish smokes a tiny bait as soon as it hit the water, no chance of even trying to retrieve the biat, musky hit and the fight was on ! ! !

Great Lure-Makers: Lou Eppinger

Created in 1906 Eppinger’s Dardevle is a red and white spoon named after the US Marine Brigade that won the Battle of Belleau Woods in World War I. Still manufactured in Detroit it is likely the most imitated lure in history although the knock-offs seldom have the sophisticated hammering (thin in the middle and thicker toward the edges) and impressive heft.
